A two-day tutor training with a scientific writing expert from Moscow
The tutors of the Center participated in the workshops held at the Center for Academic writing on June 14-16, 2016. The trainer was Elena M. Bazanova, Director of the Academic Writing Center at National University of Science and Technology MISiS, the author of the “Scholarly Communication” course on the MOOC platform COURSERA.During the interactive workshops the participants discussed some issues of preparing an article for international publication, steps of article writing and effective strategies for scientific discourse. Elena Bazanova shared her experience of managing the Writing Center at MISiS, gave tips for working with researchers’ drafts and provided examples of solving problematic situations.
The tutors gained valuable knowledge and positive experience of academic communication.
