The Convention centered around the issues of English language teaching, internationalization of higher education, academic writing, and other current trends in education.
The annual NATE-Russia Convention is a perfect space for collaboration and exchanging ideas. In their presentation, Valeria Evdash and Nadezhda Zhuravleva shared their experience of conducting the Strategies for Paragraph Development Course for the University researchers held in December 2017. They explained the rationale, the procedure, and the outcomes of the course, which proved to be successful.
The Convention participants had an opportunity to attend workshops of Russian and international experts on academic writing and discuss how work is organized in other writing centers.
The Convention’s three days flew fast but definitely contributed to shaping teachers’ minds, enriching their souls, and even changing their lives. It became possible because of welcoming and supportive atmosphere, which was created by the Convention organizers.
