Writing is the best way to talk without being interrupted.
Writing is thinking on paper.
When writing about science, don't simplify the science; simplify the writing.
Writing is a lot easier if you have something to say.
Good writing is clear thinking made visible.
A man who is ignorant of foreign languages is also ignorant of his own language.
Only the educated are free.
One`s work may be finished someday, but one`s education never.
What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to the soul.
Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.
Collaboration with "Impulse"
The academic year has come to an end. The Center for Academic Writing “Impulse” has been trying to help the university faculty and researchers to become better writers through different writing programs.
To get feedback from the participants of the Center’s activities, they were asked to answer some questions in the survey “Collaboration with the Center for Academic Writing “Impulse". We are sharing some results of the survey.
Question 1: Have you participated in the Center's activities & events?
Blue: Yes
Red: No

The reasons why people could not participate are the following:
- Lack of time
- Low level of English
Blue: yes
Red: No
Yellow: Not sure

Question 3: What are the most useful activities/events in your opinion?
Most participants of the Center’s events appreciated high-quality programs aimed to create a positive image of writing.
The replies include all the activities and events that were organized by CAWI. Here are only some examples (it might be a long list of all the events):
- Workshops
- Courses:
- Writing a Scientific Paper

- 3R- Course (Reading & WRiting about Research)

The survey also included the questions about possible collaboration between the particular university units and CAWI and some suggested topics for future events.

Actually, the Center has become a collaborative and stimulating place to work and learn.
