On June 25, Daria Iovcheva, Senior Licensing Manager, Springer Nature (Russia/Ukraine/Belarus/Georgia) paid a visit to the University of Tyumen.
Springer Nature is a global publisher dedicated to providing the best possible service to the whole research community. More than 3,000 journals and over 9,000 books are published annually. Today, Springer Nature publishes more than half of all Russian publications in international journals.
Daria gave an informative and inspiring presentation on how to get published in international research journals and how to communicate with editors and reviewers.
Besides, the participants learned how to use some indicators for research journal evaluation & how to identify predatory journals due to the presentation delivered by Andrei Lymar, Director of UT Department of Research Analytics & International Rankings.
Valeria Evdash talked about some strategies for writing an abstract and mentioned some typical mistakes Russian researchers make while writing in English.
The participants seemed to come away feeling very educated and inspired to start working on their own research paper.
