The National Association of Teachers of English (NATE) Conference was held at Russian State Social University, Moscow, from May 29th to June 3rd.
Valeria Evdash, Nadezhda Zhuravleva and Irina Belyakova represented the Center for Academic Writing “Impulse” and Tyumen English Language Teachers’ Association (TumELTA) at the Conference. They also participated in Pre-conference events that included academic writing workshops conducted by Robert Coté, the Director of the Writing Skills Improvement Program at the University of Arizona, Tucson. Robert shared a number of ideas ranging from basics of academic writing to running writing centers. His workshops gave a fresh insight into academic communication.
